Idling in California Home to some of the largest concentrations of people in America, California has had to take some harder stances on air quality due to their lack of it. The immense number of motor vehicles and a favorable climate have made conditions ripe for air impurities to linger in and around the city. Aside from it being a true blight on the city of Los Angeles, it is also a mark on the state of California that politicians, environmentalists, and citizens are working to expunge.

California is a long vertical stretch of land with the Pacific coast on one side and sprawling paths to the rest of the continental states on the other. It has a range of weather patterns available to it because of its length and it is also home to some of the largest populations of personal and industrial watercraft anywhere.

The state of California has a number of vehicles in operation from its southernmost to northernmost confines. Below is a summary of the data regarding idling length and costs.
